Two farmers wanted to buy a new beet harvester, and a third one said: "I would also like to be in on this." So they had a low ground and tried many different machines, but none of them really met the requirements they had. So they went to Denmark and looked at several other machines. In the end they opted for a green machine by the name of Thyregod. That was how it started. |
The sales manager on the factory thought that it was good news that he was finally getting to sell a machine in Sweden, because he had tried to do so several times without success. He thought to himself that these three farmers could be his importers in Sweden in due course, but he did not say so. The machine came to Sweden and when the three had accustomed themselves to it and had got to know all its fine points, things went so well that other farmers started to be curious about this machine.
The sales manager in Denmark thought that this seemed promising and began to suggest that they could perhaps try to sell his beet harvesters in Sweden, and the three also thought that the time was ripe and so they got going.
Obviously, the company had to have a short and good name, and they thought long and hard about it. Then one day one of their wives said: - “The company will be called KORNBO, of course, because two of you live in KORNheddinge and one lives in BOrlunda. They all thought it a good idea, so KORNBO it was. |
